Ce Number 1 est un des plus fameux tableaux "à la goutte" ("drip" painting) de Jackson Pollock que vous pouvez voir à l'oeuvre ci-dessous :
Deux autres grands artisites américains qui furent un moment adeptes de l'action painting figurent en bonne place dans ce musée : Franz Kline et Willem de Kooning. Personnellement, je les préfère à Pollock.
